Synopsis

Ivo, a bird dealer, loses his wife Anna while they are buying an old house. Anna was composing music for a silent-film centenary project, and Ivo becomes obsessed with finishing her score. As he does, family life unravels and he stages an unusual ritual in the very house where she died.

Robert Černelč

Robert Černelč (1970) graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts, Academy of Fine Arts, and in film directing from the Academy of Fine Arts, Film and Theatre. Since 2013 he has been a lecturer at both academies. Since 1999 he has been a Slovenian filmmaker (screenwriter, editor, production designer and director of short fiction films, including Abaddon, 1999; Worms, 2004; The Bottom, 2014). The Birdman is his first feature film.
