Synopsis

One day, out of the blue, Iris (29) and her older brother Ivan are told by their 74-year-old father that he has had enough of life and wants to die by his next birthday. While Ivan stoically accepts this declaration, Iris fights it all the way, quitting her job and moving in with her father, determined to dissuade him by any means possible.

Floor van der Meulen

Floor van der Meulen is a filmmaker who studied Audiovisual Design at the Rotterdam WdKa Art Academy and the School of Visual Arts in New York. She debuted internationally with the documentary Storming Paradise (2014) and co-directed 9 Days From My Window in Aleppo (2015). Her drama In Exile (2016) was nominated for two Dutch Oscars and won Best Actress. Her feature documentary The Last Male on Earth (2019) premiered at CPH:DOX. Floor also directed the series SKAM NL (2019). Pink Moon is her first narrative feature film.
