STARAGARA is one of the most active and well-known Slovenian film production companies in terms of international presence, turnover and the number of various projects in development and in different stages of production. In the last 20 years we have built a homogeneous production team, able to select and work with some of the best Slovenian and regional directors. During these years Staragara has built a respectable line-up and a wide network of partners throughout Europe. Six feature films as a delegate producer and numerous minority co-productions with premieres in Venice, Cannes, San Sebastian, Rotterdam, Locarno, Tallinn, IDFA, Sarajevo and Tribeca have been made. We develop and produce feature films, documentaries both for theatrical distribution and TV and animation shorts. We also provide professional production services in Slovenia, Croatia and Northeast Italy, using and optimizing national and regional production incentives. In recent years, we have established a cluster of production companies that includes TRAMAL Films and SPOK Films in Slovenia and STARAGARA I.T. in Italy. We share the supporting activities and take advantage of the synergies in the operation and growing sustainability.
